The House Of Westmore

Prince Dante Westmore sighed as he looked across the party, he wasn't one for attending the balls and feasts the court loved to have, but seeing as how he was not considered of age by most of the court he was made to come. After all he was the son of Duke Artemis the brother of his uncle King Jacen and Duke Alex a member of the noble family of James. He glanced at where his family sat and was considering going back over when he caught sight of a man that intrigued him, he had never seen him before and he took a half step towards him. He wanted to meet him, but then he was stopped as one of the guests from another kingdom stepped in front of him. King Mason, Dante had never liked the big man and wished he didn't have to talk to him, but he couldn't be rude and just step around him like he wanted.

Frankie the servant of the King Raven bit his lip worriedly as he looked around for his king, he had only paused for a moment and then lost sight of his king. He knew the longer it took to find him the more trouble he would be in with him and he had no wish to get into trouble again.

Jasper was an assassin. Currently, he was working for King Mason, though he didn't like having to do so. Normally he'd just work for anyone who could pay the right amount of money, but Mason had found another way to instead force Jasper to work for him. Tonight he was at the party under Mason's orders to just observe. He didn't know what exactly the king had in mind but he'd been told to keep an eye on the royal family hosting the party, so he was standing by the wall with a drink in his hand, quietly watching.

King Jacen was flirting as usual; not just with women, but men too. Rarely it actually meant anything even if it ended up as more than flirting. People just assumed he liked the attention. His brother Artemis though was not amused, but he'd tried to stop Jacen in the past and never really had any luck.

"Prince Dante is it?" King Mason grinned. He knew who Dante was, but never spoken to him, so he felt like bugging him.

Dante gave a small nod as he looked up at the taller king, "Yes I am prince Dante.." He gave a polite bow before glancing to see if the other man was still standing there before looking back at Mason. He didn't like the king's grin, but he couldn't leave without a polite reason.

Frankie bit his lip as he started to walk about the room again, hoping he'd run into his king again. But all he seemed to do was get even more lost in the crowds of party guests, surely Raven had noticed he was gone by now.

"I don't think we've ever actually spoken before." Mason said politely, though he knew Dante didn't want to speak to him. "I'm sorry."

Jacen paused halfway through a conversation, turning to look at someone he'd spotted in the corner of his eye. He turned to watch the man curiously before walking off on the person he was speaking to. As he got closer to the man he'd seen, Jacen realised he looked lost. He stood there for a moment before going closer, gently poking the man's arm to get his attention.

"Excuse me, are you alright?" Jacen asked the taller man.

"I do not think we have sir, I believe you have visited my uncle's court before though?" Dante replied politely, part of him wondered if Mason knew he did not wish to speak to him.

Frankie jumped slightly as he was poked before turning to face Jacen, he quickly bowed when he saw him. "Sir... I am lost from my king and cannot find him..."

"Yes, I have visited the king here a few times." Mason nodded.

"Oh. Well I'm a king..." Jacen replied with a slight smirk.

Dante nodded, running a hand though the back of his hair. He glanced around the full ballroom, looking for his parents.

"Oh your highness..." Frankie quickly gave another bow. "I am looking for king Raven..."

"Something wrong?" Mason asked as he watched him.

"Oh. Why him?" Jacen asked, only half caring. He looked up at Frankie, taking a moment to realise why exactly he was looking for Raven. "You know, if you stay and talk to me, he can't tell you off..."

"Oh nothing is wrong sir..." Dante started before seeing his father, "Excuse me I must go talk to my father a moment..." He bowed before hurrying over quickly to Artemis. "Daddy..."

"H-He couldn't?" Frankie asked softly, worry clear on his face.

Mason frowned and rolled his eyes before heading in the opposite direction.
"Dante?" Artemis couldn't help but look worried when his son hurried over. "Is something wrong?"

"No." Jacen said, grinning. "I'm the king here, not him."

Dante glanced over his shoulder, "I got stuck talking to King Mason... He is very creepy daddy..." He glanced for the man from before, part of him still very curious.

Frankie slowly let himself start to relax, something he almost never did at his King's castle.

Artemis frowned and wrapped an arm around Dante's shoulders, watching him curiously. "It's better to stay away from him..." He said quietly.

"Come have a drink." Jacen said, motioning for him to follow before heading for the nearest table.

Dante looked up at his father before nodding, "He is quite creepy..." He stopped when he finally saw the man from before again, he took a small step forward.

Frankie followed him, looking around as they walked.

Artemis gave a small nod. "He is, but do not say so to his face." He said before noticing Dante's movement. "What is it?"

"Here." Jacen said when they reached the table, turning to face Frankie, holding a drink out to him.

Dante stopped before looking back at his father. "Oh... Nothing daddy..." He flashed a smile when his papa joined them.
Alex smiled as he leaned up to kiss the cheek of his husband.

Mason smirked, "Jasper." He stayed a small distance away, but close enough to talk to him. "You have a bit of different work ahead for you tonight."

Frankie slowly took the drink offered to him.

"Right..." Artemis said, but let it go when Alex showed up and smiled instead.

Jasper froze when he heard the familiar voice, but didn't turn to look at Mason; continuing to watch the party instead. "What is it?"

Jacen grinned at him before getting his own drink, though it wasn't his first for the night.

Alex smiled, "Hello." He said as he leaned close to him.
Dante watched with a smile.

Mason smirked, "I need an edge in the upcoming treaty talks and to get that edge I want you to grab the Kings nephew Prince Dante for me. He is with his parents now, I assume you know which two are his parents?"

Frankie shyly looked down at the drink in his hand.

"Are you alright?" Artemis asked before wrapping an arm around Alex.

"The prince? Why the prince?" Jasper asked after nodding to show he knew.

Jacen watched him, somewhat curiously. "It's fine, just drink it." He said, almost impatient. "You look as if you've never drank before."

Alex nodded, "Yes, just so many people here tonight."

"Because the prince is close to his uncle the king." Mason answered.

"I haven't Milord..." Frankie admitted.

"What did you expect, just one or two extra people?" Artemis asked, chuckling. "You know what Jacen's like."

"And how does that help you exactly?" Jasper asked, glancing at Mason.

Jacen paused with his own drink halfway to his mouth, staring at Frankie in disbelief. "You're joking, right?"

"True, but I was hoping he'd at least be smart and not invite Mason..." Alex sighed,

"Because to get him back they'd have to do what I want for the treaty." Mason grinned.

Frankie shook his head, "No Sire."

"Same here," Artemis sighed. "But apparently he wasn't. That or Mason invited himself."

"Oh." Was all Jasper said at first. He continued watching the other guests and finished his drink before speaking again. "And did you want this done tonight, or later?"

Jacen raised an eyebrow. "Why not?"

Alex sighed and leaned his head on Artemis's shoulder.

Mason shrugged, "Tonight I suppose, you will take him back to my castle while I stay here so people don't connect the two."

"My king does not think servants should drink."

Artemis gave a small smile and hugged him close.

"Right." Jasper nodded. "I guess I could do that."

"Why?"

Alex smiled and relaxed against him.

Mason smirked, "Good."

"He says it makes us slow and stupid..."
